Linksys Router Freezes When Playing Streaming Videos

The Linksys Wireless Router Model BEFWS11 Rev. 4 has a problem where it will freeze up when you try to play streaming Windows Media Player files on the Internet. Upgrading to the latest firmware (1.52.02) does not fix this problem. The solution is to go into Windows Media Player and disable the following streaming protocols: Multicast, UDP, and TCP. Just leave the streaming protocol “http” enabled.

How to Play YouTube Videos on the Samsung Blackjack

These instructions have been tested on the Samsung Blackjack SGH-i607 running Windows Mobile 5. To get YouTube videos to display on your Blackjack, perform the following steps:

  1. Download this file: Link
  2. Inside the file are more files.
    • a zip file: unzip it to your Blackjack and copy to \Windows. You’ll need to “app unlock” your Blackjack before being able to do this step.
    • Streaming_210.cab: Install this on your Blackjack
  3. Soft-reset your phone
  4. HTC_Streaming_Media.cab: Install this onto your Blackjack

Now, when you go to m.youtube.com and click the “view now” link, it should launch this program and stream the content.
